- Wash your car on a frequent and regular basis. At a minimum, wash your car every few weeks, and have it detailed semi-regularly to keep the interior looking its best.
- Follow best driving practices. Avoid hard braking, which is tough on brake pads and rotors. Slow down over bumps to protect the suspension. Park your car in a garage whenever and wherever possible - severe heat and cold can damage belts, hoses, batteries and other engine components.
- Stick to your recommended maintenance schedule. To keep your car running in peak condition, regular maintenance, including oil changes every few thousand miles (exact mileage depends on manufacturer's recommendation), is critical. And whenever possible, make sure replacements and repairs are made with OEM parts and fluids.
